Tickets on Sale for 6th Annual Empty Bowls

The Flat Rock Backpack Program is hosting its 6th annual EMPTY BOWLS event on Sunday, August 13, in the Parish Hall of St. John in the Wilderness. As our only active fundraiser, it goes a long way to meeting the $25,000 budget needed each year to provide weekend sustenance for up to 180 children from six area elementary and nursery schools.

While the collected event fees raise much of the budget, we ask our friends to help close the gap. So, when purchasing your tickets, please consider including an additional amount as a donation. By donating, you'll know that your extra has gone to help area children in need. (Also: Let us know if you work for an organization that matches donations; every little bit helps!)

Tickets are $25 per person or $50 per family. Children under 12 enter and eat free. There are two seating times this year: 12:30 to 2:00pm and 4:30 to 6:00pm.

Tickets may be purchased from St. John by calling Sarah Yeargin in the Parish Office at 828-693-9783 with your credit card information, or by stopping by with a check made out to St. John in the Wilderness (with a note indicating Empty Bowls). You may also mail your check to Flat Rock Backpack Program, St. John in the Wilderness, P.O. Box 185, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

If purchasing by mail, please include a note stating the number of tickets, your phone number, and preferred seating time. Telephone and mail-ordered tickets will be

held at Will Call at the event.

Do you own or work for a business that might like to sponsor Empty Bowls this year? Reach out to Sarah at the phone number above or officeadmin@stjohnflatrock.org to learn more.
