ADULT CHOIR

Church music is an integral part of any worship service and should not be considered just entertainment.

As in the majority of churches, the hymns and the anthems provide a focus on the service, that in many ways, are just an extension of the prayers and the liturgy. The hymns are definitely the musical prayers for the congregation.

At St John, the hymns are carefully chosen to enhance the readings for the day, and in most cases the anthem follows the focus of the service or the readings.   We are very fortunate to have an excellent choir and choirmaster, that succeed in assisting the service, and are able to inspire a worshipful attitude.

The Adult Choir of St. John sings at the 11:00 a.m. service.  On many Sundays they are accompanied by talented young musicians on a variety of instruments.  The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. throughout the year.  New choir members are always welcome.
