MEN OF ST. JOHN

The Men of St. John is the service arm of the church and provides varied assistance at any parish function where they are needed.

While these same men are very active in many of the other activities of our church, they also are not beyond, cleaning up the grounds, treating the hemlocks against insect infestations, bringing parishioners to Sunday services that have become unable to bring themselves, parking lot attendants, and any other help where needed.

All men of the church are automatically members and no dues are expected.  These meetings and get-togethers provide an opportunity for men from the different Sunday services to get to know each other.

They meet six times a year on the third Tuesday of the month (light dinner followed by guest speakers, on various topics of interest).  There are four other get-togethers that vary from a Saturday morning clean up work time of the church grounds, to social fun time, lake picnics, and barbecues.

CHEFS OF ST. JOHN

Many of the Men of St. John are active members of the Chefs.  On the first Sunday of each month, these men arrive during the early morning hours, to begin the preparation of an outstanding gourmet breakfast for the whole parish.  The camaraderie of men cooking is something to behold.  Any men that would like to join one of the six teams are always welcome, whether they can cook or not.
